Lake Orhid-The Town
| The next day, we started by exploring the castle. We were really a bunch of "tourists" and had a great time of it! Our group was about 70 people. (Amazing these pictures of only scenery!) We really had fun together. And for some in the group, it was their first time out of Albania--ever! What a treat to be with folks experiencing such beauty. | ![]() |

Here is the view from the castle back toward the Lake. It was a beautiful morning. |
| This is the town of Orhid after a rain. People are just beginning to come out...you can just imagine the tourist attraction here! Again, our group had a great time! | ![]() |

This picture, at the Ohrid market, shows a merchant with a water bottle. You may be wondering--big deal? Actually, what you can't see is that he is spraying the carrots with the water! (squeezing the bottle with some holes in it.) Just like spraying vegetables in a supermarket in the states--they looked beautiful! |
Ahhhh, the colors at the market! ... but, are these hot?... For us and our friends, Wilbert and Meip, we were happy... hot chilis! Yahooo! In Albania, all of the peppers are mild. Our "shopping" experience (souvenirs) were hot chilis! Others, on Fuji's team, did not quite understand. |

We are not big olive folks, well, Fuji could be... but, these are beautiful! They are in just about every market in the region. Later in the day, the rain hit us and we ended up back at the resort, indoors. We played ping pong and did puzzles. Later, we ate dinner, danced after dinner and drank raki... we had a really good time together. Very nice SNV Family Weekend! |
