SNV Teammates II

These pictures are some of the teammates from other SNV/Albania Teams.

Here, Fuji is helping Nicolette make dinner on Fuji's birthday this past August. Nicolette is Dutch and has been with SNV in many countries/continents around the world! Her and Rene (spouse, and also a "veteran SNV-er" and Tirana Team member) have two children.

Again, Nicolette (on left) and also Oriola and Migena of the Tirana Team. This was a celebration for Fuji's birthday at a cafe near the Country Office in Tirana. It was sort of a "happy hour thing" and then we went to Nicolette and Rene's for dinner (above).

Nice Birthday in Tirana!

The "Language Class!" Wim, on the left is also fairly new to SNV and Albania, so we were in class together. Wim works in Fier (on the plain, near the coast in central Albania.) He is Dutch but has lived in Nicaragua for 15 years (his wife is Nicaraguan & is still in the Netherlands with 2 children.) We hope after this academic year, they will all be together again.

Wim, Jim and Fuji were the students for two weeks. Our teacher was this young woman, who generally teaches English to Albanian speakers. We hope we didn't challenge her too much?! But, we were all glad when it was over ;-).

Fuji and Maarten at the SNV Family Weekend, drinking "Dutch Raki" (sorta like vodka). Maarten is the Country Director and his background is in the private sector in corporate education. Fuji says he is a great "coach!"

Maarten and his spouse, Mariken, and two young children, have been in Albania for about one year. It is their first international "work" experience too.
