Our steady workhorses. If it weren't for these two we'd be out of touch with the world and all of you.
They have especially been our friends during the days of major power outages. Reading by candlelight can get old fast and we know each other's moves in backgammon so much that its hard to have an interesting candlelight game any longer.
Alas, our laptops! Writing emails and reading things that we downloaded earlier. Our trusty friends. How dependent we've become on the computer?!

Besides the social outlet our computers have given us, Fuji has made some extra bucks doing some consulting projects. Here she is working on a multimedia powerpoint presentation for her former employer, Center for Human Development. The file was so large when she was done that unfortunately we couldn't e-mail it. So, Jim put it up on this web site-temporarily-so they could pull it down from the web. Ah, more technology solutions. This aspect of our adventure has been quite a trip. We are more used to traveling and being "out of touch" as much as possible! |
