View from the Roof
On a sunny spring day I got adventurous and climbed up to the roof for a quasi-aerial view of Dardana.. This is what I saw.

Above
looking Northwest and Southwest. Below looking south to the bus station. Having
the bus station a 5 minute walk away has been very convenient for our day
trips.

I couldn't help but show the garbage pile again. All this from one apartment that this 2 flights above us that is occupied by UN cops. Guess that is their way where they are from--just toss the stuff out the window. This is one sight we won't miss! |
| After our landlord and other tenants complained the the local authorities they sent a person out to clean it up. His method: burn baby burn! We had to leave the flat for the whole day as the smell of burning plastic was awful. When we went to work the next day we still had to leave the windows open to let the place air out. |  |
